There

The book “There” written and illustrated by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick is a really open ended book. The narrator talks about a place called There and his/her trip to There. There could be anywhere. It could be a physical or mental place. A physical There could be a warm welcoming home or a place when you feel succeeded. A mental there could be a place where you are not a victim of depression. It could be anywhere. And “There” is different to everyone as well. In conclusion, I think there is a place where you are working hard to achieve.

Do cellphones belong in school?

“Do cellphones belong in school?” this is a question asked a lot. Some may say that it is a helpful learning tool and others may say it is a distraction. There are many pros and cons in the classroom, but the cons overweigh the pros.

1 Personally, I would be able to control the urge to look at my phone during class. So I think my phone works as a learning tool than a distraction.

3 I think cellphones would turn into a hologram or an AR thing, making accessing and carrying the device easier.

After The Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again

The Book “After The Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again” written and illustrated by Dan Santat. This book is about how Humpty Dumpty went climbing the wall again and turning into a bird. After the fall, Humpty was afraid of heights and stopped climbing the wall and doing things he liked. I had a time when something unfortunate happened when I was skiing. I never really skied on that track anymore and didn’t go to the fun place I loved on that track. Unlike Humpty, even if I overcome my fears, I will not turn into a bird.

The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau

“The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau” written and illustrated by Dan Yaccarina is a biography of Jacques Cousteau. In his lifetime, he loved the sea an because of this, he invented the diving suit with his friend. The diving suit leaded to the creation of scuba diving. Like Jacques, I also loved the sea when I was small. This book reminded me of a documentary I’ve watched about cleaning the ocean.

Kindness 4

One day one I was walking out of the school, I saw one of my friend in gr.6. She was trying to put her jacket on but was having some trouble. I held her bag and clarinet for her so that she could put her jacket on easily. This made me feel happy and it made getting her jacking on easier for her.

Kindness 2

After the valentines dance, I had lots of candy. I couldn’t possibly eat it all myself. When I was walking home, I saw Luna, a friend of mine that is in Gr.6, it surprised me that she just started walking home at 5pm. I decided to give half of the candy I had. This action made me feel really happy and sharing is caring. Luna looked happy to gain half the candy I had.
